My name is Armon, and I’m an Electronic/Embedded Design Engineer. I began my career in electronic design, focusing on hardware and have worked on projects in fields related to healthcare, energy infrastructure and space technology. More recently, I moved into the field of embedded design, an industry that has seen rapid advancement in the last few years with the Internet of Things becoming more prevalent. The increase in computing power has allowed for microprocessor stand-alone systems and even full fat Linux embedded systems to permeate many fields. Making this transition has allowed me to integrate my experience across multiple levels of the design process, which in turn makes for greater integration of hardware and software. In 2024, I embarked upon a new journey, to study for a Masters in Embedded Electronics Engineering in Sweden.
Previously, I have been an Electronic Design Engineer for 13 years and my experience has strengthened my believe that technology should fit with and improve our lives. I strongly believe in Universal Health Care and the technology that makes this possible and I have spent most of my career developing medical devices for this purpose. I enjoy it not only because of the complexity it brings, but because of the impact it has on people’s lives. Growing up on a poor island has ingrained in me a sense fairness in how we treat everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. You can read more about me and my history in the About Me section.
Technological development has had the largest impact on shaping human civilisation in the way we live and how our society is ordered. Our ability to mould the world around us to better suit our needs and desires has led us to greater division of labour, longer lifespans and an increased ability to focus on improving our lives.
Through this website, I hope to give an insight into my character and why I do what I do. I hope that not only does my skill in my chosen field become apparent, but that my personality shines through and tells a story about who I am.
